Athena is such a great wedding planner! She’s professional, responsive, experienced and has very good taste. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to have a perfect wedding for their big day!

This year is full of changes and challenges, especially for wedding planning. But Athena took the pressure off our shoulders. We got to know Athena approx.. four months before our wedding from a friend. It was a tight schedule to plan for a wedding but Athena managed the planning so well. All the other vendors (photographer, videographer, MC/DJ, makeup, cake) that Athena recommended are also professional and fit into our wedding style perfectly. Athena has very good taste and is talented at planning.

Thanks Athena and her team, we had a dreamy wedding that is beautiful and special! Again I would definitely recommend Athena and her team to you for wedding or event planning.

Athena was not the first wedding planner I had initial meeting with but I can say with 100% confidence that she is the right one.

As a wedding professional, she give reasonable suggestions on vendor choices, wedding details, etc, tailored to your needs. As a planner, she is willing to take in your ideas and thoughts then blend it beautifully into your wedding. As a friend, she is the ear to hear and understand all your stress and concerns about the wedding. I literally cannot ask more from her.

In addition, our wedding is in the middle of a pandemic, things change rapidly. Athena is always one step ahead of the situation. We started talking about possible changes in March and later decided to postpone to September. When I realized I might be losing all the deposits, she already started conversations with every single vendor of mine about the availability and credit transferring. I still remember the day she told me that she got confirmation from all vendors. Her smoothing voice immediately calmed me down and I definitely feel like she is the best decision I made in my wedding planning process.

Wedding day was not the perfect weather, windy and drizzle. Her day unfortunately started a couple hours earlier with my call nagging about our setting will be all over the place due to the weather. But I forget she is that detail oriented super women! Athena made last minute changes to the dessert and welcome table which turned out to be heart warming and cozy. Me, my hubby and all of my guest enjoyed my wedding day from the first minute to the end.

I have never write any review this long… But I think it is worth it for my dear Athena and all the sisters doubting about getting a planner.

How do you plan an outdoor COVID wedding? In the rain with temperature below 10? The answer is you can’t. But Athena can. We knew she was the right planner for us the first time we met. Athena is patient, she listens and she gives honest advise. She also recommended other vendors based on our personalities and preferences. With the big surprise of COVID this year, most of our previous planning were no longer applicable and we basically had to start from scratch at the last minute. As a frontline worker, I had specific concerns and precautions. Athena was 100% supportive and worked tirelessly to ensure all guests of the wedding were safe yet comfortable. And just as all the COVID worries were sorted out we found out it was going to be rainy and cold on our wedding day. Athena provided reassurance while was fully prepared for the weather. It was the most perfect day we could ever ask for. Words cannot express our thanks to Athena and her team. She’s more than a planner, but also a sincere friend.

婚礼选了Athena作为day of coordinator,真的是太棒了！首先从专业程度上Athena真的非常专业，提了很多我没有想到的地方，给了我非常多有用的建议。虽然只是day of coordinator，但是从策划到婚礼整个过程中Athena都一直在帮我。在婚礼当天，真的是全程不用我操一点心只是美美的就可以。Athena当天以及之前帮我确认vendor和统筹各个vendor，并且把我的想法和vendor们说并且实施出来。只是day of coordinator就这么棒，如果全程找Athena策划肯定就超级无敌厉害了。其次Athena人真的很好，非常温柔！特别喜欢和她说话！太温柔了，是一个很好很好相处的人。真的很感谢Athena，帮这么不靠谱的我实现了我的dream wedding。

我的review想写点不一样的,给那些犹豫觉得需不需要wedding planner的人来看. 为什么需要婚礼策划师？可以把很繁琐的事情一步一步按照重要性来搞定. 婚礼策划师都做什么？把控所有vendor计划, 做好budget,设计婚礼跟各个vendor沟通,当天coordinate整个婚礼,等等. 看着都是很小的事情,但当所有时间,事件都集合在很小的time range里之后,就会压力倍增,心情烦躁.

一开始我就想要一个planner,原因是我给一个朋友当伴娘,她整个婚礼都是自己把控的,非常厉害,但是压力也是特别大,特别是婚礼当天.很难想象一个平时淡定温和的人,当天会大爆发. 怎么选择planner？ 我当时的需求是, 价格方面适合, 靠谱的planner。网上有很多planning公司价格也是不等,我想找planner也是为了帮我整理所有信息和最重要的婚礼当天coordination. Athena非常非常细心,有条理,每一周会告诉我需要做的一件小事,这样半年下来积少成多. 婚礼前也会根据我所有的item会给我写一个list. 我就按照list一个一个准备好装车. 整个准备过程并没有rush或者压力大,我还蛮喜欢这一点. Athena也有很多主意帮我设计花艺还有签到桌还有很多details，尽量给我省钱和把控不会超支. 而且她特别周到,把预计可能发生的事情都想到,沟通给vendor. 婚礼当天,双方父母,伴郎伴娘,宾客任何事情只要找到Athena就能解决,而且不会出现大家互相找人的情况. 真的是辛苦了, 只能说这钱花的值. 最后再次感谢Athena半年以来对我的付出和耐心.

把婚礼交给Athena和Emily就对了！我其实在选择wedding planner的时候也见了蛮多planner的，现在的我非常的庆幸我最终选择了Destiny Wedding!
可能有人觉得花钱找planner不值得，但是我觉得这笔钱花的非常值得。不管是Venue，DJ，Florist, 还是摄影摄像，Athena都能够根据客人的诉求，以及Budget, 帮忙找到性价比最高的Vendor, 而且还能帮忙拿到很好的折扣。

我印象很深刻的是，在我们Brainstorming如何最好的利用布置现场的花的时候，Athena提出了一个很好的Reuse Ceremony的花布置Reception的餐厅的点子，帮助我们节省了很多花艺的钱，同时又达到了我们想要的效果。临近婚礼的时候，很多的payment都要due, 也有很多的last minute changes, Athena总是及时的提醒我们有哪些payment要due, 然后对于我们要求的last minute change都能够以最快的速度通知到相关的vendor进行协调。
当然了最重要的还是婚礼当天的统筹规划。婚礼当天我作为新娘不用操任何额外的心，只是好好的享受整个婚礼j就好。整个婚礼都井井有条，所有的宾客都对Athena赞不绝口。而且Athena的品味也很好，帮我们做的staging都很美。

Emily and her team were PERFECT in every way and truly went above and beyond to make our lives completely stress free from day one of planning to the very end of the wedding day! Emily was attentive, very responsive, patient, highly experienced, professional, thoughtful, and all around critical in our wedding. She provided advice for planning and was so easy to work with that even our bridal party and family couldn’t stop raving about her! Emily made sure we stayed on schedule a month leading up to the big day (and on the day of). Even when she had many weddings on the go, she always made us feel like we were the only ones she was working with and so we never felt that we were not being attended to! My husband and I keep repeating to ourselves, “what would we have done without Emily?” . As a bride, you don’t want anymore stress especially on your special day, Emily made our day seamless with coordinating all the food/decor pick ups, attending to family/moving them different venues, keeping us on schedule so we don’t pay late fees, dealing with vendors, setting up/cleaning up our dinner decor, creating the dessert table, setting up the welcoming table, coordinating the late night foods, setting up and cleaning up all of our many ceremonies/reception, paying our vendors, the list is endless! She is worth it for your sanity! We woke up the next day and everything was DONE (cleaned and packed), it was magical and we are so happy to have Emily as our wedding pro behind the scenes!! Note – we were not planning on having a coordinator but with all the tasks that needed to be done, we realized that we VERY MUCH NEEDED HELP (you can’t rely on friends, the bridal party, or family to do these things – trust me). Emily knows what she’s doing and she’s very easy to work with. We cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and making our wedding happen! We could not have done it without you!

Due to the pandemic, we decided to have a very small, yet intimate outdoor wedding in the fall this year. Even though we only had 12 people in total (including the officiant!), everyone had a great time that morning. Our expectation were well exceeded, all thanks to Athena and her team. From selecting the right vendors to managing the flow of the entire ceremony, things were all well thought-out! Especially when we heard about our original venue went out of business, we were quite worry about finding a place to host this. She was able to quickly find another good venue and even got us the refund back from the first venue in a very short amount of time!

We highly recommend Destiny Weddings for your wedding planning! We chose Athena and Emily at Destiny Weddings for full wedding planning service after meeting with many wedding planners, and that was certainly the best decision that we made in the planning process.

I am not an easy person to impress and not the easiest to work with, but Emily and Athena have impressed me with their professionalism, patience, and the final product of their work. Throughout the entire process, they have been extremely considerate, attentive, and understanding. We could express our concerns and thoughts in a very direct manner with them and they would always listen and do their best to accommodate our asks. They kept us on track with the planning process and with the budget, always tried to get the most value for us from different vendors, always think on our behalf to decide what would work the best, and effectively communicated with different vendors to resolve any issues.

Given the size of the wedding (final guest count was 230+), the tradition in the region where I came from, and the fact that I am very detailed-oriented, there were lots of questions, concerns, and changes in the entire process, even right up to the day before the wedding. But Emily and Athena helped resolving every single issue that we had and, most importantly, made sure that we did not feel stressed out so that we can enjoy the big day.

Emily was our lead wedding planner and we feel so lucky to have had her plan our dream wedding! She is so easy to work with and was always willing to hear our ideas and provide recommendations and advice. Despite having many ideas that would bring up our budget, Emily kept us organized and on budget while still providing us with everything we’ve wanted for our wedding. Our wedding was more than we could ever have imagined and better!

The wedding day was stress free because we trusted Emily and knew everything was taken care of. We got many compliments from our guests on how smoothly the wedding went despite having a somewhat large wedding (~170 guests) and many events throughout the day (tea ceremony, wedding ceremony, directing guests to specific areas for group photos,…etc.). She worked well with vendors whenever issues arose and made sure our needs weren’t compromised.

Athena is amazing! She is very patient, and she takes very good care of everything in the wedding day. She gives lots professional suggested to me, like how to arrange the time in the wedding day. And Athena is very thoughtful, she even remembers the things I couldn’t remember. I really appreciate Athena ‘s help, which gave me a perfect wedding. You definitely need Athena if u have budget but u want a nice wedding!

I was fortunate to have Athena as my day of wedding coordinator and could not be more thankful!

There are 3 examples I’d like to share that highlight Athena’s expertise and thoughtfulness.

1. Athena is very detail oriented and professional, she checked up with me often along the planning phase and have given me lots of good tips. She helped us to design the wedding day timeline, breaking down to minutes! We had revisions back and forth many times and finally we had a perfect timeline! All our guests, wedding party commented that the day was just so perfect! And I know my wedding day can not run smoothly without Athena’s expertise in designing the day !

2. I originally instructed my relatives to set up the dining tables with candles, menu cards and wedding favors while Athena and her team helped with setting up the reception table. After the initial set up, Athena noticed wedding favor’s colour is too bold(red) to go with the décor and theme of my wedding (soft peach and plum). She asked to take the wedding favor off the table and put them aside. She then ran to me( I was taking photos) and told me of her decision. Without seeing the set up myself, I totally trusted Athena’s aesthetics and expertise and had the wedding favor removed from the table. When I arrived in the dining hall and saw the pictures afterwards(with the wedding favors on the table), I felt that Athena have saved my wedding day! The color mismatch would have ruined my wedding set up and that would be a disaster for me! I am so happy Athena was able to catch it and saved it!

3. We had one cocktail hour between wedding ceremony and reception. While guests were enjoying the food and drinks, we (wedding party ) were taking photos outside, we had only about 10 minutes before entering the dining hall. At that point, everyone was exhausted from the day. Guess what? We were greeted with finger foods! And I didn’t remember I have coordinated this with the venue. It is my lovely Athena who is that thoughtful, she instructed kitchen to send some food upstairs. It turns out that’s the only food I had during the whole day! Good job Athena!

I am sure there were many other important things behind the scene I missed. In fact I didn’t notice any problems or delays thanks to Athena. All I remember is my wedding day was perfect, Athena has taken care of all of it! She coordinated with the venue, minister, catering, photographers, DJ and all the guests! I was so happy and extremely satisfied with Athena and have since introduced her to at least 2 of my friends. One of them had Athena planned her destination wedding and she speaks highly about Athena as well!

准备这场婚礼，我用了9个月的时间，之前我也犹豫过要不要自己完成，不请婚礼策划师。但后来打消了这个念头，因为请了他们，让我体会到了请婚礼策划师的好处。我的人数少，但是还想要高级点的场地，婚礼策划师帮我争取到了从100人的抵消降到80人。接下来主持人，摄影摄像师，化妆师都有折扣。重点是婚礼现场的把控，婚礼当天，新娘什么事情都不要管，有了婚礼策划师，就好好享受就是。总体来说。请他们，对你来说就是省钱省力的，会让你有一个完美的婚礼。

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Emily. We owe the success of our wedding day to her. Emily was patient, organized, fun and always professional. She gave us ideas and suggestions along the planning process. We gave Emily a list of requirements for vendors and she promptly came back to us with a list of recommendations that met our needs. She was very detail oriented which was really important to us. We had a full day of events with a traditional Chinese ceremony in the morning and a western ceremony in the afternoon. Emily meticulously planned our schedule and laid everything out for us, kept us on point & kept us from going off the rails. She was just incredible & handled everything. I would like to thank Athena for a perfect baby 100 days party for our little boy.

Before I reached out to Athena, everything I know is that I want a party and want it at Auberge du Pommier. Other than that, nothing in my mind! Athena is extremely patient and passionate! She asked me so many questions and arrange the meeting right away with a wonderful decorator. They inspired me with so many good ideas and from a vague idea the party became clearer in my mind. They together visited the venue and gave me so many valuable feedback which I would never think of.

Athena is very detailed oriented and plan everything ahead of me. As a new mom, I was tied up with the baby but she took care all the planning for me. Such a relief!

On the day when I arrived the venue, everything was set up perfectly and we were just surprised and had fun with guests! I love the color, the flowers and the decor. It is warm and elegant!

还记得我们第一次initial meeting 那时候对于婚礼怎么准备完全没有头绪，Athena针对我们的预算规划了每个部分的资金分配以及可以取舍协调的部分，所以第一次见面后就愉快的做了把婚礼设计交给他们的决定 😀

之后的3个月呢我要准备考试，好久都是玩儿失踪，而且有拖延症的我好多事情都不想马上决定，毕竟想着婚礼还有6个月呢。但是!还好有Athena催促我，帮我安排见面并提前订下比较重要的vendor，并且推荐了一个我们一眼就看上，连site visit都没有去的湖心岛venue。一切都有条不紊的进行着，直到婚礼前的最后一个星期，我们突然发现场地布置临时有变化，以至于我们decor要大改。还好有Athena帮我去和场地argue，使我们以不变的价格换到了超大的房间，而且及时落实修改后的设计方案。当时真的是很担心，怕自己最初想要的效果达不到，总有很多顾虑，但实际上很多事情都是要变化着来嘛，而且结果证明婚礼当天的效果非常的好，之前胡思乱想的都是瞎担心!

总之呢，婚礼当天绝对是一生中最值得回味的一天，这一天新娘新郎就应该完全享受其中，planner的重要性就是帮你把控一切。所以planner一定要选合拍的人，了解你的喜好和品位的人~

Athena is born to be a wedding planner with her soothing voice. We had a small ceremony (i.e., under 40 ppl) but still full-scale preparation work. Athena and Robert helped us in every possible way. We came up with tricky ideas and wanted to tweak the plan all the time. It was magic that Athena can always consolidate our ideas or persuade us to leave some behind (considering how stubborn I am, I doubt her voice cast a spell on me.) Emily and Athena were our partial planners for our wedding, and I was blown away by how amazing they were! We hired them four months before the wedding (with almost nothing planned so far), and they were the only planners we found that could truly help us plan the wedding WE wanted. We had a vision in mind that was unique to our faith, our culture, and ourselves, and was doubtful it could be pulled off before we met Emily and Athena.

Throughout the entire process, they were patient, replied timely, made sure everything was kept within our budget and had all these wonderful recommendations. With so little time, we used most of the vendors they recommended, and none of them disappointed! From the large aspects to the small details, they thought of everything! Also super helpful that between the two of them, English, Mandarin, and Cantonese were covered, to really make sure they were able to communicate with everyone at our wedding. 室外婚礼当天下雨，真的是各种调动与调整，完全没有办法按原计划走，但是幸好Athena都提供了各种解决方案。现在想想，如果Athena不在现场，简直会乱成一锅粥。还有Athena带的小助手，真的把现场气氛带到high起来。 而且Decor真的漂亮啊！！超出我的想象，比我想的现场要美很多。我朋友都说我的婚礼真的太美了！满意啦~~~~
